Quarter 2, Week 1 – Comparison and Contrast

This week we discussed Compare & Contrast Information. e explain that comparing refers to identifying the similarities abd differences between two things being talked by, While contrasting refers to identifying the differences between the two things being talked. We also discussed the new Anglo-American Literature Icon Francis Scott Key Fitgerald, he is an American novelist, essayist, writer of a short story, and screenwriter. Francis Scott Key Fitgerald is also known as F.Scott Fitgerald. He is known for his novels depicting the flamboyance and express of the Jazz Age term. He published four novels, four collections of short stories, and 164 short stories.
Francis Scott Key Fitgerald achieved a temporary popular success and fortune. He was born on September 24, 1896, and died on December 21, 1940 (He died at the age of 44). We also have a spelling bee like a chauffer, ecclesiastical, proselyte, insouciant, etc. We also had our figure of speech on focus Simile, it is a figure of speech that involved the comparison of one thing with another thing and using "like" or "as". We gave some examples of similes like: She was "as" sly "as" a fox.
Performance Task:
1.The song Auld Lng Syne is usually being sung when New Year comes to us, also sometimes it is being sung at social gatherings like weddings or funerals. 2. For me the Auld Lang Syne were referred about friends. 3. The person's friend is unforgottable for he or she because they went to a lot of things and happenings from there bondings and their deepness of there friendship. 4. The experiences that the Auld Lang Syne gone through, like saying goodbye to a friend, and celebrating New Year. 5. Filipinos, loved Auld Lang Syne or can be translated as "Old Good Times" at New Year celebration, because they are reminiscing the memories they have with other people and it also signifies or make you feel that it's time to make a new beggining that feels positive having somebody ith your another year. I Think of Those who were Truly Great by Stephen Spender:
1. The 1st stanza discussed the inspiration , the great indivisuals to remember the soul's spirits. 2. The 2nd stanza tells to never forget , the essentials delight of the blood drown from ageless springs. 3. The legacy og those who are great is the memories that they will be remembered by other people and there names remains in the heart of people that believe and look up to them. Venn diagram:
